"The palliative doctors and team were amazing. They became like an extension of our family and a great source of emotional support. We are not a really religious family, but thanks to the right kind of therapists and other professionals on our care team we were able to strengthen our collective spirituality and faith in each other by having the confidence in knowing that no matter what there was also someone there to help my mother do every day tasks. To know that she would be cared for and looked after by someone with sincere compassion and a willing was to improve and maintain her quality of life up until the end. That was a very, very strong sense support for us. All the services provided, even small things such as having someone to sit and read a book to her or even just to talk with her daily provided us with a great sense of relief and a way to help us all better handle all of the medical stressors and issues. We will be forever grateful to the wonderful people we met through Palliative Care Provider SoCal.
